This poetry series features poetry written in Spanish by Maria Mar, and it's ideal for Spanish-speaking audiences. These poems are culturally relevant to Puerto Ricans, Caribbean and other Latin American immigrants and respond to their poetic preferences.

The poems in this series are divided into three themes, from different poetry collections:

	De Pueblo en Pecho, Odes to the Puerto Rican Immigrant Workers. These series honors immigrant men and women who struggle to evolve in a strange environment and contribute to their country and their new homeland, often feeling strangers in both places. Ideal for all Latin American immigrants.
	The Poetry Botánica, where metaphors are remedies for all your ailments, from heartbreak to insomnia. This is an audio-visual feast in which Maria Mar merges the spiritual and creative legacy of many Latin American, African, Asian and Native cultures to nurture the soul and the imagination. Ideal for multi-cultural audiences, and for Latinos speaking either Spanish or English.
	El Duende en los Ojos, Poetry to fall in love with life. Poetry in the lyrical Latin American tradition with modern topics that everyone can relate to.

These poems are great for Puerto Rico History Month and Hispanic Heritage Month.

Odes to the Puerto Rican Immigrants Workers

Maria Mar has a passion for the heroic stature of the common people and for stories of immigrants. The first two poetry presentations ~El Eterno Soldado (Soldier Forever) and Arte*es*Ana (Art*is*Ann) are poems of a modern epic character, based on real-life stories of Puerto Rican workers. They are part of the yet unpublished poetry collection "De Pueblo en Pecho."

These poems were featured in Viva Magazine/Daily News as part of Maria Mar's interviews with Puerto Rican immigrants.
