Ms. Mar has built an
impressive 21-page curriculum vitae encompassing more than 20 years of
work in the following areas of expertise:
 | Theatre: as an actress,
playwright and director, performer and producer working in the USA,
Puerto Rico and internationally. She has performed in Aaron Davis Hall,
Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre, for the Caribbean Cultural Center and
with Pepatian, among many others.

 | Poet: using the written
word, in literary readings, poetry performances and
ceremonies and
teaching poetry in the public schools and organizations, through
arts-in-education programs such as Teachers & Writers
Collaborative, Poets in Public Service and others. (See

 | Writer: both in the
fiction and non-fiction genre, and in the marriage of fiction with
personal growth. Her methodology work was featured in Puro Teatro: A
Latina Anthology was published by the University of Arizona
Press. Her recently published self-help novel,
Catch the Dream Express: Alchemical Journey to Manifest your Dream,
was published by ShamansDance Books. Her non-fiction work been published in magazines such as
Ser Padres, Viva/Daily News, Creations and others. She has been featured in
literary anthologies published by university publishers, and has
participated in numerous literary readings, panels and round tables.

 | Writing coach:
Ms. Mar has developed and currently teaches the
Write to Dreamä
Coaching Program. Using writing
exercises that speed up the book structure and organization and help
beginning writers find their voice quickly, Maria Mar also empowers
women experts to position their book within their own Personal Dream, to
create a business around the book and to articulate their expert system
and uniqueness. In one year, the women have finished their books AND are
ready to market it successfully.

 | Visual artist, in the
medium of art installation, illustration and computer art, as well as
digital product cover and web designs. (The designs of all our
websites are created by Maria Mar.) She has been exhibited in
Longwood Gallery/ Bronx Council on the Arts, Silver Whale Gallery
(SOHO) and many other galleries and non-traditional places.

fields covered by her expertise and the causes she is passionate about.
She has participated in lectures, as well as in numerous panels and round
tables.

 | Workshop facilitator
with more than 30 years of
experience using art for personal growth, women’s empowerment and social
transformation. She has worked with
more than 70 organizations in the USA and abroad.

 | Shaman, using art as
alchemy for personal and social transformation and women's empowerment.
Her 14 year training as a Woman of Power resulted in her unique Female
Wisdom-based systems for women's empowerment and personal growth and in
the
power of her poetry as Rites of Passage.

she created to help women empower themselves, release the obstacles to
