Detailed Biography
A Modern Renaissance Woman PBS-featured Maria Mar is a poet, educator, dance-theatre performer, visual artist, published author and playwright. She is also a life coach using the arts as a vehicle for personal growth. Maria Mar has 14 years of training as a Woman of Power or shaman. The Dream Alchemist is known nationally and internationally as a spiritual teacher whose system is based on Female Wisdom and the Female Way of Knowing. She is also a pioneer ceremonial catalyst and workshop facilitator for women's empowerment and an activist in the areas of prevention of violence in the family and against women, as well as creative family living and ecological consciousness.
Maria Mar is known as the Dream Alchemist for her leadership role in helping women transmute their emotional wounds into Personal Medicine that allows them to manifest their dream. She offers the Female Leadership Lectures to awaken women to the Female Face of Power, so that they can reclaim their power and redefine power in ways that honor the feminine and the earth. Towards this end, she has created several unique Female Wisdom-based coaching systems to empower women in the USA and internationally. Maria Mar travels nationally and internationally, spreading her female-wisdom based insights, her healing images and an encyclopedia of tools for healthy living and personal growth.
Her current lectures also include the Dream Express Lecture Series, based on the chapters and concepts of her recently launched self-help novel. In this lectures, The Dream Alchemist teaches women how to do their own Dream Alchemy to make their own Personal Dreams a reality. She offers unique systems that allow women to detach from false beliefs and learned limitations quickly, and she empowers women to assume their Personal Power through the powerful images in her novel as they come to life in her speech and interactive encounters with the audience.

Dreams are never tiny. Small girls dream big, for they listen to the Dream of Earth planted and blooming in their souls.
Mary dreams with a light-filled house where children's song outside and birds' songs outside create one happy harmony, drowning despair.
Terry dreams with a large window through which she sees the world as she writes her books without fear of scarcity.
Lily dreams of a partner who participates in the adventure of life, who travels with her to distant places instead of fermenting in the neighborhood bar.

They dream with solutions. With the absence of pain. With the triumph of their natures above their conditions.
