FlightDream is an interactive dance-theatre performance with an

Maria created the
FlightDream Course based on her more than 20 years of work with women in the USA and abroad,
using art for empowerment and personal growth. It is a unique course that
empowers women to recognize and release the ways in which they sabotage
themselves.

In the FlightDream
Performance,
PBS-featured master improvisational
performer Maria Mar
makes gala of her
astounding shapeshifting abilities. She takes the participating women
on a breath-taking tour de force to discover the deep-seated beliefs
blocking a woman's dream.
Internationally known artist-shaman
Maria
Mar tells the story of Eve in a beautiful
fusion of dance, poetry and storytelling that brings to life the archetypes
of the female psyche that she has discovered in her work with women.
As she conjures archetypal traps and deep seated fears,
connecting them to fairy tales such as the Ugly Duckling, Rapunzel or
Cinderella, women recognize the roles they've been playing in their lives.
As the character of Eve emerges from the fairy tales in which
she is trapped, she awakens to the present and discovers herself to be the
dream she has chased.
Throughout this process, Maria Mar reveals many common roadblocks that stand
between a woman and her dreams. She helps audiences recognize many
archetypal female self-sabotage MOs that she has detected in her extensive
work with women.
In the FlightDream
Performance Maria communicates the wealth
of female leadership and women's empowerment skills and tools that she has
gathered in the FlightDream Course. Maria has been coaching women in this system for over
five years, helping women transform their lives by recognizing and releasing
the ways in which they create the main blockages to their success.

FlightDream Performance is a sparkling highlight to any

The performance opens into a beautiful collective Rites of
Passage in which the audience members help Eve take away the masks and
roles she has carried so that she can uncover her personal power and
wholesomeness. In the process of helping the protagonist, they recognize
their own masks and genuine power.
A fuller version goes on to take the audience members into a
Healing Journey. In this journey, each woman envisions how she
is sabotaging herself and begins the process of Shifting her World to
leave the past behind and create her Dreamlife.
A residency or two-day event can follow the performance with
a FlightDream Workshop. In the workshop, women are
guided through the FlightDream Course,
integrating the material in body, mind and soul. Each woman recognizes and
works with her Primary Self-sabotage MO.
