I am grateful that I have had a healing partner in my life.
It is not usually that one's apprentice becomes also one's healing partner,
but in my case it was. I was given an intense 7-year initiation, and she was
courageous enough to travel the shaman's path with me, learning from me as I
was learning from Spirit. This amazing woman, Corazon Tierra, grew up to be
such a powerhouse that she is now my creative and business partner. On
May 30th, 2009 we celebrate 20 years of spiritual and creative partnership
that evolved into a sacred friendship. Come celebrate with us!

I still remember the first day I heard Maria's voice on the
radio reading one of her poems. When I heard the poem I felt an instant
connection. She was expressing the voice of the child in the poem and she
also talked about the theater work she was doing for women's empowerment. I
said to myself" "this the type of work I want to do", and I called her to
the radio station.
Maria became my mentor, my friend and my dance-theater teacher. She helped
me to believe in myself and to heal myself. Later on she became my spiritual
teacher and now she is my business partner. We have worked together as
artists for two decades. What a gift is her presence in my life!

after 10PM on May 30th. We will be dancing Bomba, which is a powerful Afro-Puerto
Rican dance. We sing, clap, do chorus and dance to the rhythm of the
Barriles, the drums. You can express yourself and release your stress. We'll
be happy to meet you in person and share our blessings with you!
